Introduction
Indian National Science Academy, a premier science Academy in the country, plays crucial role in advancing, recognizing and pleasing excellence. Another important task is to publish journals, organize scientific discussions and bring out proceeding and monographs. The Headquarters of the National Institute moved to Delhi in May 1946.

The name of the National Institute of Sciences of India was changed to the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) in February 1970. The Academy has regularly been holding an Annual Session in a scientific and academic Institution. These Annual Sessions provide an opportunity for demonstration of research papers by Members and Fellows of the Academy. To secure and manage funds and endowments for the promotion of Science.

Vision
Thus, the National Academy of Sciences, India was established in the year 1930, with the objectives to supply a national forum for the publication of research work carried out by Indian scientists and to provide opportunities for exchange of views amongst them. The Academy has regularly been holding an Annual Session in a scientific and academic Institution. The sessions are democratic and choose young and senior scientists a like from far and broad.
