The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore was founded in the year 1973. The Institute is situated in a 100-acre green campus on the southern suburban area of Bangalore. IIM Bangalore is one of the prime institutes on business management and research. Amongst the several programmes provided by the institute, postgraduate programme in management and Doctoral programme in management are highly ranked. It is the only B-School in India to be rated amongst Top ten Asia-Pacific B-Schools, allowing to the QS Global Business School Survey, took in 2009.
