Indian Institute of Horticultural Research in Bangalore
Introduction
The Indian Institute of Horticultural Research was launched by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) to perform research on different expressions of horticultural crops viz. fruits, vegetables, ornamentals and medicinal plants in dictate to develop their fecundity, quality and utility. The Institute was launched at ICAR central office at New Delhi. The Institute had Regional Station on Citrus at Nagpur which was raised as National Research Centre for Citrus throughout 1988. In the year 1972 two Central Horticultural investigate Stations at Chethalli and Gonikoppal were transposed to the Institute.
