IGNOU was founded by Indira Gandhi National Open University Act in 1985 as a way to provide higher education by aloof and open means so as to reach a large number of press students throughout the country. IGNOU’s MBA program is also approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). IGNOU is one of the largest universities of the world with nearly 1.4 million pupils in India alone.
