The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the Referring to the first of two things or persons mentioned medical research bodies in the world. Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) will hold a National Level Examination in Act of working jointly with PGIMER, Chandigarh for Having the power or quality of deciding the eligibility of candidates for awarding Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), for academic session 2011
Eligibility for JRF 2011
Candidate should have M.Sc. /M.A. or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks for General/OBC Candidates and 50% for the SC/ST & physically handicapped candidates in their subjects.
Age Limit:
28 years maximum (relaxation as per rules)
Syllabus:
As prescribed by UGC.
Method of Selection for JRF 2011
Scheme /Pattern of Test:
There will be one paper of 2 hours duration divided into two sections.
Section A (Aptitude):
This part will have 50 questions on

General knowledge in sciences

The candidates may apply by post for which request (inscribed on the envelope “Application form ICMR-JRF Exam -2011 must be accompanied with a self addressed thick envelope of size 8” x10” bearing Postage stamp and requisite Bank draft. The Bank draft should be preferably from any SBI Branch payable at SBI Medical Institute Branch, Chandigarh drawn in favour of “DIRECTOR,PGIMER, Chandigarh”)
