IACS Conductivity
The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), established on July 29, 1876 by Dr Mahendra Lal Sircar, is a sovereign Institute. It is the most former research institute in India. The institute is committed to the avocation of fundamental experiment in the frontier fields of Energy, Polymer, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Materials. In each area, IACS raises young and modern research fellows in their Phd programs.
Sir C. V. Raman operated IACS during 1907 to 1933 on several subjects of Physics making discovery of the famous impression on scattering of light in1928, which bears his name and that contributed lots of awards including the Nobel Prize in 1930. The American Chemical Society specified the Raman Effect as an International Historic Chemical Landmark in 1998.
