Introduction
Gulbarga University was founded in 1980 by an Act of Karnataka State. Its legal power passes to the five territories of Gulbarga, Bidar, Raichur, Bellary and Koppal of Hyderabad Karnataka. before it was a grad student centre of Mysore University since 1970. The main field is located on a 348 area unit of land, 10 kilo meters east of Gulbarga city.
It has 35 grad pupil sections and 4 grad student centers situated at kreplach, Bellary, Raichur and Bidar. Some other grad student centre at base is on the anvil. The Unive rsity enrolls about 3500 students every year for several post alum, M.Phil. And Ph.D. curricula in several fields.
There are about 200 faculty members and about 700 technical and no technical supporting staff. There are 165 colleges affiliated to this University which enroll about 45000 students every year in various graduate/diploma courses in arts, fine Arts, music, social sciences, science & technology, commerce, education and law.
