Goa Board of Technical Education under Directorate of Technical Education on 2nd July 1987 and the presentment regarding composition of Board of Technical Education was published on 5th February 1988. Board of Technical Education deals with 17 Diploma Programmes and 2 Diploma Courses and behaviors examination for these Programmes and Courses. The Board of Technical Education was formed as an administrative and administrator body, to lay down the rules and rules relating to the academic carrying into action of all polytechnic institute and other institutes affiliated to the Board and to various diploma plans.

The candidate should have passed 12th in related subject for the graduate programmes and for the Post Graduate programmes the candidate should have passed three year bachelor degree from any recogonised university.
