Government Medical College and Hospital is a education hospital located in Sector 32[1], Chandigarh, India. This is a new Medical College which began with the intake of 50 students in 1991. Each year a batch of 50 students, is chose solely on the basis of merit at the mixed Entrance Test carried on by the Punjab school, gets included. This deficiency has been adjusted with the start of this institution. Our stress is to provide teaching and training facilities of an exception high standard to the medical students.
A number of students have assured placements overseas, mainly in the United States, with high percentile marks in the USMLE examination. The educational institution has a highly qualified and committed faculty, It has been discerned for the award of MBBS degree by Govt. of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, W.E.F. 30.12.96, and has been included in the list of recognized Medical Colleges by the Medical Council of India. Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, is the only hospital in the public sector committed to total cybernation, both for hospital management as well as in the administer domain. It has already started pulling a large number of patience not only from the Union district of Chandigarh, but from the neighbor states as well.
