The Goa Institute of Management is a business school Situated in a particular spot or position in the state of Goa, India. It is an Education and Research Institution set up in GOA. GIM Approved by the All India Council of Technical Education of the Government of India (AICTE) for offering postgraduate courses in management at the MBA level and Recognized by the Government of Goa and by many of the major industrial corporations in the country. Admission to the Goa Institute of Management is Restricted to something on the basis of merit and no contribution in any form is accepted in connection with admission. Eligibility
Candidate passed Minimum 50% aggregate marks in a three-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) recognized by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE. For admission to the post graduate programme in business management 2010-2012, only those candidates who register for the XLRI Admissions Test (XAT) 2010 of Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur (XLRI) may apply for admission to GIM.
Admission Procedure
Candidates seeking admission to GIM are required to observe the following procedure:
Applicants to GIM are required to take the XLRI Admissions Test (XAT), which will be held on January 2011 Register for XAT at official website of XLRI.
Apply online; last date for online application is January 2011
Candidates who have applied for admission to GIM will be shortlisted on the basis of their XAT scores, past academic performance and work experience. The shortlisted candidates will be called for face to face evaluation process for final selection in February/March 2011 (Interview centres – Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Panaji)
The final selection will be made tentatively in April 2011on the basis of XAT scores (50% weightage), the candidate’s past academic performance (10% weightage), performance in face to face evaluation process (30 % weightage) and work experience (10% weightage), if any.
