The Government College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu (GCET) was founded in the year 1994 under All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) norms and is associated to University of Jammu, Jammu. It is the first Institute of its kind in Jammu region. The college has 2 campuses, one at Old University Campus, Canal Road and the new campus at Chak Bhalwal. The GCET have qualified staff and skilled teachers are teaching in Engineering subjects to Bachelors of Engineering (BE) students. Nine Academic Departments are elaborated in the Teaching/Training work from 1st to 8th Semesters, 5 concerned Engineering Departments and 4 Applied Sciences Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities & Social Sciences.

Is there hostel facility available? if not please guide me regarding private accomodation in the college vicinity.

hello above ppl…… m a final year student @ GCET
Hostel facility is not available at present. College provides transport facility to all students if you want to avail that.
GCET is next after NIT srinagar in terms of placement in state but by country standards, its not that upto the mark..
