Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University is a premier Medical University of India named after the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, late Dr.M.G.Ramachandran. The University has the distinction of being the second largest Health Sciences University of the country. It is the only medical university in the state of Tamil Nadu that is capable of granting affiliation to new medical and paramedical colleges (government or self – financing) and awarding degrees. Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University will conduct an entrance exam in 2011 for giving admission in following departments:-

Eligibility for graduate courses Admissions:-
A candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% for SC/ST/OBC). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.
Eligibility for post graduate courses:-
A candidate must have passed graduate examination with relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC). Those who are appearing for last year exams in 2011 can also apply.
Selection criteria
Admissions to any courses are will be made by an entrance examination for Medical/Para Medical courses conducted by the Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education Chennai.
Age: - 17 years of age and not crossed 25 years as on 31st December 2011.
Reservation: - Reservation as per government order applicable at the time.
Availability of forms:
The application forms for Entrance Test are considered to be available in Tamil Nadu Dr M G R Medical University’s reception window, and also from the member institutes. The form may also be got by post from by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form. Application form also can be downloaded through the website. Candidate should submit the Complete Fill-up application form along with all Required Documents and Fee by DD to admission office of institute before the last date of Receipt application form.
