The Central Forensic Science Laboratories at Kolkata, Chandigarh and Hyderabad and Government Examiners of Questioned Documents at Kolkata, Shimla and Hyderabad are placed At a position directly lower than the Directorate of Forensic Science. The Directorate is having a heading or course in a certain direction by the Director-cum-Chief Forensic Scientist. Dr. M S Rao becomes the first Director-cum-Chief Forensic Scientist after creation of a new Directorate. The Directorate of Forensic Science also Give something useful or necessary to a Junior Research Fellowships
