FCI is a short form of Food Corporation of India was found in 1965 below Food Corporation Act 1964. It operates by 5 zonal offices and 26 regional offices. Objective of FCI is to provide farmers remunerative prices, to make food grains available at reasonable prices, particularly to vulnerable section of the society & to maintain buffer stocks as measure of Food Security.
