Degrees Masonry Freemasonry is a fraternal organization that arose from obscure origins in the late 16th to early 17th century. Freemasonry now exists in several forms all over the world, Masonry – also known as Freemasonry. “The” organization! Sometimes referred to as the ‘Blue Lodge’ (because Masonic allegory makes a reference to the ‘covering’ of the lodge being the star-decked canopy of the heavens) but more properly called the ‘Craft Lodge’ since the ‘craft’ of Company is taught and learned there, Masonry has three ‘degrees. Degrees Masonry is the fraternity is administratively organized into worker Grand Lodges or sometimes Orients, each of which governs its own district, which consists of subordinate (or constituent) Lodges. Degrees Masonry is the several Grand Lodges recognise each other, or not, based upon adherence to landmarks (a Grand Lodge will commonly deem other Grand Lodges who share common landmarks to be regular
