The Manipal Centre for Philosophy and Humanities (MCPH) started functioning in February 2010. MCPH Centre was founded to not only promote humanities and liberal arts education at Manipal University, but as well to establish a foremost centre for teaching and research in philosophy and humanities. The Centre will offer students access to superior education in Humanities fields. MCPH objects to redress both these problems in its innovative MA program in Interdisciplinary Humanities. MCPH Humanities program incorporates both Western and non-Western intellectual systems, adding philosophy, to afford the students a strong theoretical foundation. While there are a few best sections in literature it is not the case with the other disciplines of humanities including philosophy.

Interdisciplinary studies with strong grounding in Indian and Western philosophy and intellectual traditions.
