Introduction
Coconut Development Board (CDB) is a statutory body founded under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India for the incorporated growth of coconut cultivation and industry in the country with focus on productivity increase and product diversification. Coconut Development Board is a legal body founded by the Government of India for the integrated development of coconut production and usage in the country with focus on productivity increase and product diversification. In India, coconut is cultivated mainly in the coastal tracts of Karalla, Tamil Nadir, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Orison, West Bengal, Pond cherry, and Maharashtra and in the islands of Lakshadweep, Andaman and NICO bar.

Functions Of The Board
Adopting evaluates for the development of coconut industry, inter alia.
Contributing technical advice to those engaged in coconut cultivation and industry.
Allowing For financial and other assistance for the expansion of area below coconut.
Encouraging acceptance of modern technologies for actioning of coconut and its products.
Adopting evaluates to get incentive prices for coconut and its products.
Recommending evaluates for improving marketing of coconut and its products.
Recommending evaluates for regulating imports and exports of coconut and its products.
Fixing grades, specifications and standards for coconut and its products.
Financing desirable schemes to gain the production of coconut and to improve the quality and yield of coconut.

    i am a single consumer who wants to buy virgin coconut oil for personal use. where can i buy a genuine product of unrefined, unheated, cold-pressed virgin coconut oil? i live in bangalore, karnataka, india. i have found one product but the price of Rs. 250/- for 500ml. is too expensive. i am looking for an alternative price. thank you, yours, jeeth devayya.

    I have two acres of land, and already i have few coconut trees and few banana plants within. I have land in Mysore outskirts and want to grow a specialised farm with coconut and banana. pls clarify the proceedure to move further.
