CMEET 2011 Combined Medical Education Entrance Test
Combined Medical Education Entrance Test 2011 (CMEET) will be taken for admission to MBBS/BDS (including BAM/BHMS/BUMS and Diploma in Physiotherapy and Ophthalmic Assistant) courses at: A N Medical College, Gaya; Darbhanga Medical College, Laheriasarai; J L N Medical College, Bhagalpur; M G M Medical College Jamshedpur, Nalanda Medical College, Patna; Patliputra Medical College, Dhanbad; Patna Medical College, Patna; Rajendra Medical College; Ranchi, S K Medical College Muzaffarpur and Patna Dental College, Patna.
Eligibility
Candidates whose father/mother have been residents of Bihar for 10 yrs; or Children of Central Govt employees serving in the State; or Children of State employees/members of All India Services on Bihar cadre; or Candidates whose parents are not alive may apply with 10 yrs residence certificate from DM.
Reservations
Reservations All India quota 15% SC 14% ST 10% MBC 14% BC 10% Girl candidates 2% Seats are available for Govt of India, TISCO, Coal Mines Welfare organization and SSLNT nominees.
Qualification
The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized board. The candidate must have attained 17 years of age and must be permanent resident of the state.
Application Procedure
Application form can be got from the medical/dental colleges on cash payment through IPO/bank draft in favor of the College. Completed applications along with the bank draft with 2 self addressed stamped envelopes of must be presented by Regd post to the Principal of the College according to the zone where the applicant has passed the qualifying exam. Candidates are needed to forward their application to concerned college by the sponsoring agency.
Selection Merit
Candidates will be shortlisted on the base of their CMEET 2011 marks. The shortlisted candidates will be called for further selection procedure dwelling of a Personal Interview & Group Discussion after which the final selections are made.
