Cardiac Perfusionists are not physicians, or Nurses. Cardiac perfusion is a confederative health career. A cardiac perfusionist, also known as a Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP), is a specified medical master who controls the “heart-lung” machine. According to the American Medical Association, beginning salaries for perfusionists is approximately $60,000-75,000. The ordinary salary all around the board for perfusionists is about $70,000-90,000. Who work in a management role, such as the Director of Clinical Perfusion of a hospital, could earn above $100,000. According to the AACP, the cardiac perfusionist helps the surgeon in the functioning room of a hospital on cardiac surgeries.
