Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO) are given Further or added functions of promotion of Tourism and other being connected either logically, causally or by shared characteristics activists in the year 1982. As a result of which, its name was altered to Chandigarh Industries and General Development Corporation Limited. The Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation Limited (CITCO) were formed or united into a whole as a Company under the Companies Act 1956 on 28.03.1974.
Activity
CITCO activities are looked after by three different Corporations namely Industrial Development Corporation, Small Scale Industries Development Corporation and Tourism Development Corporation. However, Chandigarh being a small Union Territory, all these activities here has been assigned to CITCO.
