The Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages is the only University in India committed exclusively to the teaching/learning of Foreign Languages. The institute offered 1 year doctorate program in PhD. It is the only university in India devoted exclusively to the study of English and foreign languages. The Institute continued to grow; M. Litt and Ph.D programmes were added to the existing Post Graduate Diploma courses.
