Introduction
The City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd., was a necessity and Navi Mumbai- the land of comfortable and luxuries is its invention.
The rapid development rate of population made potential by the increasing industrial and commercial grandness of the city, resulted in a fast declension in the quality of life for the majority of people living in the city. CIDCO assumed polycentric pattern of planning and development of Navi Mumbai. The practice ensured balanced land and even distribution of residential fields, job centres, wholesale markets, non-polluting industry and population density.
