Central University of Bihar 2011 All India Written Test
The Central University of Bihar set up in 2009 by the Act of Parliament of Bihar. Central University attempts to train and originate Human sources for the growth of the nation, present connections with industries for the forwarding of science and technology, and pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and well being of the people, their intellectual, academic and cultural growth. The Central University of Bihar will conduct common entrance test for postgraduate courses admission for academic year 2011.
Eligibility and courses
M.Sc. Mathematics
Candidate should have B.A./B.A.(Hons.) or B.Sc./B.Sc.(Hons.) in Math’s or Statistics but should have studied Math’s as a subject in All the 3 years with 55 % marks (50% for SC/ST) in aggregate from a accredited Indian or foreign University.
M.Sc. Statistics
Candidate should have B.A./B.A.(Hons.) or B.Sc./B.Sc.(Hons.) in Math’s or Statistics but should have studied either Math’s or Statistics as a subject in all the 3 years with 55 % marks (50% for SC/ST) in aggregate from a recognized Indian University.
M.Sc. Biotechnology
Candidate should have B.Sc. /B.Sc. (Hons.) in any branch of Life Science (Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Bioscience, Environmental Science) with Chemistry as one of the compulsory subjects or M.B.B.S. / B. Pharma with 55 % mark (50% for SC/ST) in aggregate from a recognized Indian University.
M.Sc. Environmental Science
Candidate must have B.Sc. /B.Sc. in any branch of Life Science /Botany/ Zoology/ Chemistry/ Geology/ Environmental Science/ Agriculture/ Geography with 55 % mark (50% for SC/ST) in aggregate from a recognized Indian University.
Certificate Course on Child Protection
Graduates from any subject, are eligible to apply using an application form and other details to be downloaded from website or may be obtained from the University office. Preference will be given to candidates with experience.
Age limit
Aged must be between 20 – 24 years, candidates who have cleared undergraduate education and secured a Minimum of 50% aggregate marks at undergraduate level from a accredited University can apply up to 30 years.
Selection Process
The candidate Selection will be based on Group Discussion and Interview only for candidates who will qualify the Written Test. The final merit list will be set up on the base of marks got in Written Test, Group Discussion, and Interview.
How to Apply
The Completed application form with necessary enclosures and prescribed fees by a DD, favoring Central University of Bihar, Payable at Patna is to be submitted to the Deputy Registrar, Central University of Bihar, Camp office, BIT Patna, P.O. B.V. College, Patna- 800 014 latest by March, 2011.
