The newly organized home research lab, the Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR) Dhanbad, is a element laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) was aimed to supply R&D inputs for the entire coal-energy chain from mining to feeding through integrating of the Core proficiencies of the two (CFRI & CMRI) prime Coal institution of the country.
The fresh formed entity CIMFR Dhanbad, a constituent aboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) would be the premier system of the country providing basic research, R & D back up, informatory services and help in technology up-gradation & adaptation to coal and mineral based industries to reach the targeted production with high standards of safety, economy and cleaner environment. As such CIMFR, Dhanbad would have to have its own vision for discharging its national role effectively to help coal, mineral and other linked industries to get their vision understood into reality.
