Introduction
Central excise inspectors today held a demonstration in front of the office of the Central Excise member ate here on Wednesday. The call was given by All-India Central Excise examiners affiliation to press for acceptation of their long-unfinished calls for.
Grinder Singh, Secretary, Lothian branch, said that their all-India body had served a notice upon the Chairman,

Central Board of Excise and Customs, New Delhi, regarding their demands and agitation programmed. Today’s dharma was held in the context of the country-wide lunch-hour demonstration, which started on July 15, and will continue till August 15 every Wednesday.

Eligibility
A candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on the first July of the year of examination.

Educational Qualifications:
A candidate must hold degree of a recognized University, or equivalent.

Physical Standards:
For the posts of Inspector of Central Excise and Preventive Officer, examinees will have to gratify the following minimum physical standards, failing which they will not be eligible for assignment.

Height 157.5 cams, Chest 81 cams (fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cams Relaxable by 5 cams in the case of Garhwalis, Assamese, and Gorkhas, Kumaon Region, Nyasaland Tribes and members of ST
