Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal was based on January 26, 1993 under the CAU Act, 1992 of Parliament (Act No. 40 of 1992). The University has its legal power over the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim and Tripura. University has based seven component colleges in all these states. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), an apex body, which plans, attempts aids, pushes, and coordinates agricultural education, explore and denotation education in India,
