The Botanical Survey of India Kolkata is an organization establish through the Government of India in 1887 to study the plant resources of the Indian corporation. The British East India Company had so soon founded botanical plots at Sibpur, Poona, Saharanpur and Madras as centres for rising botanical knowledge and experiment below the local Governments.

From NGOs & Commercial farms – Rs 100/- per sheet, from scientists, research students/scholars- Rs. 50/- per sheet.
Supply of Plant Materials:
Plants of common presence – Rs. 150/- per specimen+ cost of collection, Plants of local distribution – Rs. 200/- per specimen+ cost of collection.
