The Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh, is regulating secondary education in the state and also handles associated areas on school education. Board of Secondary Education Madhya Pradesh was established by The Madhya Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Adhiniyam, 1965. Madhya Pradesh Legislature, in the 16th Year of the Republic of India, ordained an Act for the establishment of a Board in order to determine Secondary Education in Madhya Pradesh and other accessory matters. The Board has the duty for recognition and de-recognition of schools in the state. The class 10th (High School Certificate – HSC) and class 12th (Higher Secondary School Certificate – HSSC) examinations throughout the state are directed by the board.
