BHU PMT Entrance Exam 2011 for BAMS B. Pharma
BHU-PMT (Pre Medical Test) is an entrance exam for admission in to several bachelor medical courses which include MBBS, BDS, BAMS and B Pharm from Banaras Hindu University. Admission to MBBS course is will be made by an entrance exam which has 2 stages, PMT Screening and PMT Mains. Only those who qualify in PMT Screening can appear for PMT Mains for MBBS course. Admission to other courses like BDS, B Pharm and BAMS is through only PMT Screening. This is regarded to be 1 of the hardest exams and considers tricky and concept based questions. Applications are called for the course of MBBS, BDS, BAMS and B Pharm for upcoming session 2011-2012 at Institute of Medical Sciences, B.H.U., Varanasi & B. Pharm (Ay.) at The Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkacha, Mirzapur Dist., under Institute of Medical Sciences, BHUVaranasi.
Distribution Of Seats: M.B.B.S. (84 seats): General – 42; OBC – 23; SC – 13 and ST – 6; BDS (38 seats): General – 19; OBC – 10; SC – 6 and ST – 3; BAMS (78 seats) : General – 36; Foreign National – 3; OBC – 21; SC – 12 and ST – 6; B.Pharm. (33 seats): General – 17; OBC – 9; SC – 5 and ST – 2. Three percent seats are reserved for Physically Challenged (PC) candidates in all the categories of the above courses.
Eligibility For MBBS/BDS/BAMS – A Passed, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together; minimum of 50% for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 40% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates;
Eligibility For B. Pharm. – A candidate must have Passed, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together; minimum of 60% marks for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.
Age: Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December, 2010 (Candidates born after 1st January, 1994 and on or before 31st December, 1985 need not apply).
Availability of application form: The dictated application form and Information booklet may be downloaded from IMS website (www.imsbhu.nic.in) or BHU website (www.bhu.ac.in.). Duly filled out application form along with DD drawn in favour of the Director, IMS,BHU payable at Varanasi, must reach the office of the Director, IMS, BHU, on or before last date.
