Bharath University was founded under the auspices of Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust with the objective of contributing higher knowledge in Science and Technology to the wishful boys and girls so that they may come out as effective scientists, engineers and technologists of repute. Admissions for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses are done by All India Entrance Examination. The entrance examinations for Undergraduate courses will be conducting in April / May 2011 while for Postgraduate courses will be conducting in May / June 2011.

Application Form: The application form and course catalogue may be got in person from the University admission office/corporate office in cash payment or by post, on payment of prescribed fees by DD drawn in favour of ‘Bharath University’ payable at Chennai.
Application form may also be downloaded from www.bharath.univ.ac.in. The filled in application must be sent to the University Admission Office/Corporate Office.

Eligibility: candidate must have pass in 10+2 or its equivalent for all programmes with minimum 60% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry, for Bioinformatics, Biomedical & Biotechnology: Minimum 60%, aggregate in Biology, Physics and Chemistry. B.Arch admissions will be based on NATA exam scores. Admission to B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA programmes will be based on the entrance exam marks.

Syllabus:
The Entrance Examination for Undergraduate courses will be based on the 10+2 syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards. For Postgraduate courses, the syllabus for Entrance Examination will be based on syllabus of Undergraduate courses.
