The APCTT is a regional organization of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), located in New Delhi, India. The Centre encourages and helps transfer of technology to and from little- and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) in member nations. The APCTT organization founded in 1977 with the target of helping technology transfer in the Asia-Pacific area. The Centre is headquartered in New Delhi with server facilities furnished by the Government of India.

“The aims of the Centre are to help the members and related members of ESCAP by strengthening their capabilities to grow and handle national introduction systems; grow, transfer, adjust and apply technology; improve the price of transfer of technology; and name and encourage the growth and transfer of technologies applicable to the area.”

Resources of the Centre
The financial resources of the Centre shall be composed of:
The voluntary contributions of the members and associate members of the Commission;
Stocks received from other Governments;
Cash in hand got from international and national institutions;
Moneys got from the sale of publications and for services furnished by the Centre;
Other funds or moneys received by the Centre, as considered appropriate by the Board.
A faith fund shall be founded, under the financial regulations and patterns of the United Nations, for the receipt and administration of such financial resources.
