Alagappa Chertier (ACCET-Karaikudi) is a major independent college of engineering [from the academic year 2009-'10] in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, and India. It is under the control of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The college is also a member institute below the TEQIP – Technical Education Quality Improvement program in India. (11 colleges were selected from Tamil Nadu)

Dr. R.M. Alagappa Chettiar established Alagappa Chettiar Educational believe with the objective of arising the backward area of Karaikudi into a centre for higher education and furnished requisite funds for the establishment of educational institutions.
