AIMS 2011 Entrance Exam Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences
Amrita Medical Entrance Exam is conducted by Amrita University. The entrance test will be held in 2011 for admission to several undergraduate medical programs – MBBS, BDS, BAMS and B. Sc in Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS). For the final selection, the University (Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham) sets up a merit list, which will be made on the marks got by the candidates in the entrance test. Amrita University, which is also recognized as Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, is handled and operates by Mata Amritanandamayi Math. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded the University with ‘A’ Grade. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is inviting application for its new academic session 2011-2012 for MBBS/BDS/BAMS degree, other related details are given below:-

Eligibility
The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination, with atleast 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and English), from any accredited state/national Board.
Examination Pattern
The questions in the entrance test are objective type. There are two hundred questions in the entrance test, which dwell of English and General Knowledge – 20, Physics – 40, Chemistry – 60, and Biology – 80. The candidates need to answer them within three hours.
Syllabus
The syllabus for the entrance test will be based on the Physics, Chemistry and Biology of the 10+2 examination level.
Application forms:
The application forms for AIMS Medical are required to be available by March in Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and also from the specified branches of The Dhanalakshmi Bank and South Indian Bank. The application form may also be got by post from the institute by sending a DD along with the request letter for Application form. Candidates may also download the form online by the website www.aimshospital.org.
