Introduction
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was founded in 1945 by Government of India. The system was set up as an Apex Advisory consistency to guide survey on facilities on technical education and to promote and develop technical education in the country. The origin of stately Technical Education in India can be dated back to the mid 19th Century. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was demonstrate in November 1945 as a national level Apex Advisory consistency to conduct study on the facilities on technical education and to promote development in the country in a organized and incorporated style. In accordance of rights with the activities of the AICTE Act (1987), for the first 5 years after its origination in 1988, the Minister for Human Resource Development, Government of India was the president of the Council.
The AICTE comprises of eight Bureaus, namely:
1. Administration (Admin) Bureau
2. Academic (Acad.) Bureau
3. Engineering & Technology (E&T) Bureau
4. Finance (Fin) Bureau
5. Management & Technology (M&T) Bureau
6. Planning and Co-ordination (PC) Bureau
7. Quality Assurance (QA) Bureau
8. Research and Institutional Development (RID) Bureau
