Aryavart Gramin Bank, a territorial Rural Bank, was made up on 3rd October 2006 after merger of 3 Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) namely Avadh Gramin Bank, Barabanki Gramin Bank and Farrukhabad Gramin Bank as per Government of India notification no. F.No.1/4/2006-RRB dated 03-10-2006. Three RRBs were supported by Bank of India and had vocational propinquity. Like the maternal bodies, the amalgamated entity operates under Regional Rural Banks’ Act 1976 and is sanctioned by Bank of India. The Aryavart Gramin Bank, hence observed as the Bank, has 306 subdivisions, six Regional Offices and a central Office. The Bank functions in six districts namely Hardoi, Kannauj Lucknow, Barabanki, Farrukhabad, and Unnao in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
